Louis Kalff (1897-1976) was one of the most prominent designers and one of the trendsetters at Philips. He designed the iconic Phillips logo and his department has many design classics to his name, including some beautiful iconic industrial lamps such as the President, the Minor and Major, the Bijou, etc.

With the Evoluon, Kalff has left a lasting memory. It was built on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Philips in 1966. The futuristic building in which you immediately recognize a flying saucer still determines the skyline of the city of Eindhoven. 

Louis Kalff is certainly our favorite designer from that period and that is why our collection mainly focuses on Mid-Century Modernism lamps of his hand.
