This Mid-Century Modern wall lamp/wall sconce was produced by Philips in the late 1950s under the model reference 80.030. When this model was also exported to France from Belgium, it was given the model name “Auray” after the name of the Breton town of Auray on the Gulf of Marbihan. It was designed in the 1950s by the famous architect and designer Louis Kalff.
The lamp has a beautiful brown teak base with a diffuser of opal satin-finished glass that ensures a soft and homogeneous light distribution. You can easily install the lamp to the wall by means of a metal plate with holes on the back attached to the lamp.
The lamp is in a beautiful vintage condition and has only minimal signs of wear in accordance with its age and past use. The lamp has been tested and fully works.
