Space Age - table lamps
Industry should be culture.
Colorful, playful designs & beautiful Italian design
In the 1960s and 1970s, modern design became bolder and more colorful. A touch of humor was not lacking. The launch of Sputnik 1 in 1957 marks the start of the Space Age design. After the austerity of the post-war years, the 1960s were a period of economic stability and relative prosperity. Designers from Italy are especially characteristic for their striking colors in playful shapes. Molded plastic gave the designers a lot of new creative freedom, but our collection also includes solid metal lamps from, for example, lamps from IGuzzini.
