This industrial desk lamp is the ‘SIS Bauhaus desk lamp‘, a metal desk lamp with a swivel arm designed in the 1960s by Karl Lang modeled on the Bauhaus lamps from the 1930s by Christian Dell for Gebrüder Kaiser & Co. It is produced in Germany by SIS-Licht Gebr. Lang GmbH & Co. in Schweinfurt.

The gooseneck has a beautiful vintage rusty patina. The base and the lamp itself have been completely refurbished in beautiful blue (RAL5019 high gloss) and finished with a matte epoxy transparent lacquer.

The lamp has an embossed ‘SIS’ feature on the lampshade. The lamp was completely rewired and equipped with a new black pressure switch, black iron cord and black plug with earthing. You only have to screw in a lamp to enjoy this industrial lamp.

SIS LICHT was founded in 1924 by Erich Lang and his father Karl Lang senior. They started a factory for the metal industry, which focused on lighting from the start. The name SIS stands for Sirius Schweinfurt. Today they produce a wide range of industrial lighting. The company is led by Stefan Lang, the fourth generation to lead the family business.
