This Globe 2000 floor lamp was designed by Frank Ligtelijn in 1961 and is completely original. The lamp was produced by Raak (Amsterdam), one of the most important Dutch lighting manufacturers of the 20th century. Iconic Space Age design that is still loved for its timeless look and elegant shape. The lamp is considered a pinnacle of modernist design and is a symbol of the Dutch design tradition. The Globe 2000 is a unique and valuable object for lovers of design lighting and vintage furniture.
The minimalist design is an excellent example of Raak’s signature style and has become a vintage classic.
The lamp has a clear, light brown tinted, natural glass sphere from Peill & Putzler with a light metal reflector made of brushed aluminum. The sphere rests on 3 rubber support rings. You can rotate the glass ball in all directions around its axis and thus enjoy direct or indirect light.
The chrome-plated tripod is telescopically adjustable in height from 1.25m to 1.75m.

This lamp is completely original and in very good vintage condition according to its age. The lamp has been checked and is fully working. You only need to screw in a lamp (E27 socket) to enjoy the 60s. Light bulb not included. The base has a number of scratches, but these are not disturbing (see photos).
